When we buy a car, we want the most options for the money we are paying.
When we go to the restaurant, we are happiest when we get the most food for our money - whether it be quality or quantity.
We expect performers to go “over-time” and give encore performances at concerts.
But when it comes to education, we are satisfied with with the least amount possible. We groan when we get homework. We complain when our lectures go longer than planned.
Humans are a strange species. Why is it that with everything else we want the most we can get for our money?
