Hey, did you get a new account? Sorry my fujitsu is out of commission. I ordered two new computers, so I can go through my music library later this week. When do you need the songs? What kind of a scene is it? Haha. korean drama house?
Swiss Miss at home.
im going through your tumblr looking for kpop songs w/ a fashion show vibe. any recommendations? also your house is decorated like a korean drama house, and i would like to kidnap one of your dogs someday.
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh I JUST washed my car. Honestly. Couldn’t it rain later?
My room in Schapiro was the biggest out of all the rooms I stayed in at Columbia (JJ, Hartley, Broadway, EC, Wien). It required a lottery number of 13.
I alternate between two Banana Republics near my house. But now, everyone in both stores knows me by my first name. It’s a bit embarrassing actually. Last week, they had me put my information on their ‘client list,’ for special deals. Good idea? Oh btw, Buy one cashmere sweater, get one free on black friday!
London, December 8, a few items from Audrey Hepburn’s wardrobe will be auctioned. There is a touring exhibition at Sotheby’s New York this weekend.
I hate shopping for underwear. Nerve-racking experience every single time. It’s not like you can try them on in the dressing room like any other article of clothing. Even if you could, would you? My credo has been trial and error. Buy a few different styles from different stores and see which one is the best. Use the ones I don’t like for cleaning my glasses or polishing my shoes. Recently, I have discovered the baby rib briefs from American Apparel. I’m a huge fan. Soft, good fit, wide selection of colors (over 40). Yay.

Shattering box office records left and right. I’m here scratching my head. Smoke and mirrors people! It already kicked Half-Blood Prince for the highest grossing midnight release. If New Moon dethrones the Dark Knight as the best opening weekend movie of all time - I will cry in a corner.
Wow, I’ve never seen so many midnight showings for a movie before.

Is this even legal? The movie is supposed to be out on the 20th.

Yeah. She had a pet deer, Ip. If I remember correctly, she adopted it after filming the movie, Green Mansions.
She woke me up. It was 5AM. I was drowsy and could not walk straight. As soon as I brushed my teeth and washed my face, she led me down stairs. Stumbling down the steps, I looked out the window. It was pitch dark. I asked what was going on. She told me, “It’s a surprise”. She went to the basement to get her camera. She told me to take the bag on the kitchen counter and meet her in the garage.
We drove for several hours. I had no idea where we were going. We finally arrived at what seemed to be a convention center. The Korean Ceramic Society was having some kind of an exposition. We went around to the different exhibitions looking at beautiful Korean pottery.
After a good tour, we went outside to a tented area with several pottery wheels. She taught me how to use the wheel, and we made several vases and bowls. We took our creations to an old fashion kiln. No electricity, simply good ol’ wood and flint.
I used to hate the smell of wood burning, but since that day I’ve loved it. It’s because it brings back pleasant memories of that day. Funny how I associate the burning of wood with ceramics now. We spent the rest of the day picnicking while we waited for the finished pieces.
That was the best day during my three-month long stay in Korea eight years ago. From that day on, I became interested in ceramics. I bought several books on contemporary and old ceramics. I visited several art galleries that specialized in ceramic pieces. I was constantly looking out for the next ceramics expo. She got me hooked. During my time in highschool, ceramics was one of the most fulfilling things that I did.
Sort of like what movies do for me now, an avenue for escapism. Leaving the ordinary. With clay, I’m allowed to dream and create spaces normally not possible.
All of this was possible because of her. She has influenced me in so many ways. Not only did my interest in ceramics start with her, but also my interest in photography began with her. She afterall was a visual arts Major specializing in photography. But I’ll save the story about photography for later.
